2009 Festival Locations
The 2009 schedule features a number of new items:
- This year, the inner courtyards of the Hôtel de Ville (city hall) will be treated as the continuation of the Place des Terreaux display.
- The forecourt of the Fourvière Basilica, as well as its main façade, will be the backdrop for a 15-minute lighting sequence. A surprise installation on the TDF tower is also being prepared. A good idea for a nice stroll on the Fourvière hill!
- The route along the banks of the Rhône, one of last year’s most successful installations, has been extended from Maréchal Lyautey Square to Tête d’Or Park. Displays in the park and on the lake have also been enhanced this year.
Once again this year, you will discover lighting installations at Louis Pradel Square, on the pathway that ascends the terraces on the Grande Côte, on the façades of the Saint Nizier Church, around the Jacobins Fountain, at the Hôtel Dieu Hospital, on Bellecour Square, on the Saint Jean Cathedral and around the Guillotière Terraces, among many other sites.
